Welcome to Bai Lan Studio

Bai Lan Studio provides certified instruction in Pilates, Master Stretch and Body Key as well as professional ballet instruction.  We offer private, semi-private and group classes.

Bai Lan Studio offers Pilates training utilizing mat work, reformer, trapeze table, chair, and barrel.  We offer low impact, personalized exercise instruction for all ages, lifestyles, and fitness levels. It is effective exercise for every body!
Pilates
Pilates is one of the world's fastest growing exercise programs. It is named for its founder, Joseph H. Pilates. During WWI, Pilates  developed the Pilates method to rehabilitate patients at a hospital in England where was as a nurse.

In the late 1920s, Pilates immigrated to the U.S. Today, his methods and exercises are used worldwide by dance companies, theater groups, performing arts schools, universities, and professional sports teams.

Dance
Ballet - This studio offers professional ballet training by a former international principal ballet dancer. It is for the serious ballet student seeking classical training or a professional career. Adult classes for beginner and intermediate dancers available.  

Jazz Dance - This class focuses on isolations of the body, rhythm, flexibility and balance. Students will increase musicality and performance quality while improving technique in a fun yet structured environment. Includes jumps, turns, strengthening and conditioning exercises as well as combinations designed to increase memory function and performance quality.
 
Modern Dance - This class will focus on finding the center of the body, falling and recovery, freedom of expression and connecting with emotions through movement. We will touch on traditional techniques of modern dance including Horton and Limon as well as more contemporary styles. Includes works from the modern and contemporary dance repertoire.

MasterStretch
MasterStretch is an exercise program utilizing a simple device and a methodology designed to move your body's center of gravity back and forth through a controlled rocking movement of the ankles and legs. It accentuates both your dorsal and plantar flexions; improves balance, coordination, rhythm, and flexibility; strengthens ankles, legs, glutes, abdominals and back; and improves venous and lymphatic circulation.

Body Key
Body Key is an exercise program that utilizes a multi-functional, versatile, small, innovative devices specifically designed to enable one to become conscious of their body. Through a program of exercises aimed at stabilizing and mobilizing ankles, knees, the abdomen, hips, back and shoulders, it allows the whole body to be involved in the action, improving extension, control of balance and body posture.

Yoga
Yoga is a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline which includes breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures.  It is practiced for health and relaxation.
